interview process

Application process:

In order to apply for an open position at First Bank, please either send us your resume by clicking here resumes@therespowerinone.com or stop by any branch location to fill out an employment application.

Interview process:

Once you submit your resume or job application, you will receive notification of receipt of your resume or application.  If your qualifications meet the requirements of the open position or if there is an open position for which your background is suited, you will be contacted to schedule an interview.  The interview will help us to determine if you are a good job fit and it will help you determine if First Bank is a cultural fit for you!  All interview questions will seek to ascertain both your educational and your work related background and give you an opportunity to demonstrate for us how you have handled work-related situations in your previous or current jobs.  Depending upon the outcome of the interview(s), you may be invited to join the First Bank team!  If you are not given a job offer, please understand that your application materials will be retained at First Bank for a minimum of one year from the date of your application.

Pre-employment screening:

You will be asked to submit to the following pre-employment screening:

Approval to check your credit report – We conduct credit checks on all candidates being seriously considered for a position within the Bank. This is important in the financial services & banking industries due to the money handling and financial aspect of all of our positions. This credit check will be performed prior to a job offer. Please click here to complete the authorization to conduct the credit check and click here to review all of the provisions of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, which First Bank fully complies with.

Universal Drug Screening – You will be asked to visit an external lab to perform drug testing after an offer has been made but prior to starting work. This is a post-offer, but pre-employment test. Should you fail to pass this test, your offer will be withdrawn.

Criminal Background Screening – You will be asked to complete a consent form for us to order a background screen from an outside vendor (American Background). Please note that a criminal conviction will not necessarily bar you from employment from First Bank, as the nature and circumstances of the conviction play a part in the decision, depending upon the position you are being offered. This is a post-offer, but pre-employment test. Should you fail to pass this test, your offer may be withdrawn, depending upon the circumstances of the conviction(s).

Reference checks – We perform reference checks, both professional and personal. These reference check calls are done prior to a job offer.
